Which equipment can I rent?

 

We offer a wide range of equipment (travel cot & bassinet, high chair, baby bouncer, beach shelter, foldable baby bathtub, etc.) that will make your stay in Rio de Janeiro more practical, comfortable and thus enjoyable.

So as to ensure the safety and comfort of your child, we have selected high-quality products that can be quickly set up and easily used.

The equipment is new, or just a few month old, and has been bought in France, Portugal or Brazil.

 

The Rental Process

Which language do you speak?

 

We speak French, English, Portuguese and Italian.

 

How can I place a rental order?

 

You can easily place a rental order using our website. You will only have to choose the equipment you want and the start and end dates. We will confirm by email the availability of the equipment within 24 hours.

When do I need to place a rental order?

 

We advise you place your rental order as soon as you have booked your flight. As such, you will make sure that the equipment is available when you need it.

During peak times (Carnival, Olympics Games, Christmas time), we recommend you place your rental order as soon as possible.

 

How to share any important information during the rental?

 

If you want to share any important information concerning your rental order, please contact us at any time by email (babytravelrio@gmail.com) or via our contact form.

How to modify or cancel my rental order?

 

Just send us an email (babytravelrio@gmail.com or via our contact form) specifying the changes that you wish to make.

If you wish to cancel your rental order, please contact us at least 3 days before the delivery/pick-up date initially agreed.

How to extend my rental?

 

Please contact us as soon as possible in order to confirm the new end date (subject to availability of the equipment).

We will send you a revised booking order specifying the new end date and the remaining amount that shall be paid upon restitution of the equipment.

 

How to make a long term rental (exceeding 1 month)?

 

For any rental exceeding a 1-month period, please contact us directly by email (babytravelrio@gmail.com) or via our contact form.

We will be pleased to answer your questions and to send you an estimate.

 

When and how do I need to pay?

 

Payment shall be made in cash at the beginning of the rental at the time of the delivery/pick-up.

 

How does the security deposit work?

 

We trust you to respect and properly use the rented equipment. As such, a security deposit will not be automatically requested.

If a security deposit is requested (usually when renting one or more costly equipment), it shall be given in cash at the time of the delivery/pick-up of the rented equipment. We will give you a receipt evidencing such amount.

We undertake not to cash that amount and to keep it until the end of the rental period. Such amount will be returned to you in full if the rented equipment is returned clean and in good working conditions.

Delivery and pick-up :

How will I get the rented equipment ?

 

Delivery:

The rented equipment is directly delivered to and removed from your place of stay. For any rental order above R$350, deliveries and removals are free of charge when made within Rio’s south zone (Zona Sul).

Outside of Zona Sul, delivery and removal fees may be charged.

We can also deliver the rented equipment directly at the airport so you can use it as soon as you land (delivery and removal fees may be charged).

Pick-up:

You can pick-up and drop-off the rented equipment directly at our premises located in Ipanema (next to subway and bus stations). No charge will be applied and a discount of 10% may be granted for any order above R$350.

Can delivery and removal of the rented equipment take place to different addresses?

 

Yes, of course. You just need to inform us of the exact addresses where the delivery and removal will take place.

Please note however that, depending on the addresses, extra fees may be charged.
